DIY Bookmarks!

 Bookmarks

So, I was surfing around Pinterest today on my second Pinterest account and I stumbled upon three different DIY bookmark ideas that seem really cute and cool to make ^.^

The first ones are called Ribbon Bookmarks; they don't require much work or materials.

Simple enough, right? The steps are pretty easy to follow. Materials are:
  1. Button (any size, color, shape, etc.)
  2. 17 inch long piece of ribbon (any color :D)
  3. Needle and thread (try to match the thread color with the ribbon)
  4. Hair band or elastic band (hair bands are prettier since they come in more varieties of colors and are less rubbery)
The instructions are listed at this blog called Mish Mashed Mama. Follow the directions listed there and you should have a cute little homemade bookmark ^_^ Who wants to spend money for a bookmark at the bookstore when you can make a cute and petite one by yourself at the cost of nothing? XD The diverse color and pattern options makes the bookmarks seem a little more appealing than those regular ones! Plus, it's pretty easy for you to keep up with this bookmark since you can have it strapped to your book at all times.

The other type of bookmark I found out about was this incredibly simple bookmark using only a paper clip and a button.

(can you see it? :c)

It's easy to figure out how to make, right? XD, 'kay, just making sure. (*whispers* Clip the button onto the paper clip)

If you want, you can use ribbons and tie them on the paper clips instead of using buttons. I guess the ribbons would be easier to use, but, either way, they'll still be cute and FREE! :3

Any finally, the last bookmark idea I found was the ones called 'Corner Bookmarks' which you can make by cutting off the corner of a used envelope. You can either make a simple one, or you can design them to be cute, spunky, etc.

These are slightly more complicated, but if you want to make them, there are instructions for them here

And if you want, you can make heart corner bookmarks.

Same steps, except cut a heart out of the corner of the envelope. Design in any way you want.

Anyways, that's all I wanted to share today. If a few of these of these directions weren't as clear to you than I expect, then search up tutorials for any of the bookmarks online (there are numerous videos and websites, believe me, I checked. These are super popular) or just comment below questions! :D I might make the ribbon bookmarks for my friends since mostly all of them love books like I do <3

Alright then! ~Le me, over and out. *salutes comically*
